Privacy Policy for Money Tracker

Money Tracker (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal finance app that helps you track expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, and reminders.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Money Tracker, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

You may choose to add:

Display name

Email address (optional, stored on your device for your profile)

Profile photo

Gender / avatar preference

Transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, and notes

Monthly reminders (for example bills, rent, or due dates)

App settings such as currency, appearance, and category layout

We do not require an account to use the app. Financial records you enter are stored on your device.

Information stored on your device

Money Tracker stores your data locally using on-device storage (including Core Data and app settings). This can include:

Expense and income records

Categories and budgets

Profile details and photo

App Lock preference

Premium / purchase status

We do not upload your transaction history to our own servers.

Device permissions

Depending on the features you use, the app may request:

Face ID / device passcode — to lock and unlock the app. Biometric data is handled by iOS and is never collected or stored by us.

Notifications — to send local reminders you create.

Photo library / camera — only if you choose a custom profile photo.

You can turn these off in iOS Settings at any time.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Money Tracker Pro, purchase processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We may receive non-sensitive subscription status (for example, whether Premium is active) so we can unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

Provide and improve Money Tracker

Save your records, profile, and preferences on your device

Send local reminders you set up

Process and restore in-app purchases

Understand app performance and crashes (when Firebase is enabled)

Show advertisements in future versions, if we add ads

Respond to support emails you send us

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Firebase

We use Google Firebase services in Money Tracker. Firebase may collect technical information such as:

Device type, OS version, and app version

Crash logs and performance data

Anonymous or identifier-based analytics events (for example, which screens are used)

An advertising or app instance identifier, where allowed by the platform

Firebase data is processed by Google under Google’s privacy policy:

Depending on the Firebase products we enable (for example Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, or Cloud Messaging), this data may be used to:

Fix bugs and crashes

Understand how the app is used

Improve features and stability

Send optional service messages

Firebase does not receive your full expense list, notes, or profile photo from the app’s local database as part of normal use.

4. Advertising

Current version: Money Tracker does not currently show ads.

Future updates: We may add advertisements (for example Google AdMob or similar ad networks) in a later version. If we do:

Ads may use device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, subject to your device settings.

Third-party ad partners may collect data according to their own privacy policies.

Premium / Money Tracker Pro is intended to remain ad-free.

You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings (for example, App Tracking Transparency / Personalized Ads, where available).

When ads are added, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy details if required.

5. Third-party services

These parties may process limited data when you use related features:

Analytics, crash reporting, and related app services

Ad networks (future)

Displaying and measuring ads, if/when ads are added

We do not control third-party websites or SDKs. Please read their privacy policies as well.

6. Data sharing

We share information only when needed to:

Operate the app (Apple, RevenueCat, Firebase, and future ad partners)

Comply with law or valid legal requests

Protect our rights, users, or the app’s security

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

7. Data retention

On-device data stays on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall Money Tracker. Uninstalling the app typically deletes local data.

Firebase / analytics / crash data is kept according to Google’s retention settings.

Support emails you send to dhara.divakar.apps@gmail.com are kept only as long as needed to respond and for legitimate record-keeping.

Purchase records are retained by Apple / RevenueCat as needed to manage subscriptions.

8. Children’s privacy

Money Tracker is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email dhara.divakar.apps@gmail.com and we will delete it where we can.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information stored in the app. App Lock uses your device passcode or Face ID through iOS. No method of storage is 100% secure. Please keep your device locked and do not share it with people who should not see your financial records.

10. International users

If you use Firebase or other third-party services, some technical data may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States, as described in those providers’ policies.

11. Your choices

You can:

Edit or delete transactions, profile details, and reminders in the app

Turn off App Lock, notifications, or photo access in iOS Settings

Restore or manage subscriptions in your Apple ID / App Store settings

Email us at dhara.divakar.apps@gmail.com to ask questions about this policy

Uninstall the app to remove local data from your device

If you want us to delete information you sent by email, contact the same address.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when we add Firebase features, advertisements, or other services. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of Money Tracker after an update means you accept the revised policy.
