Terms of Use for Money Tracker

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Money Tracker mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using Money Tracker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who we are

Money Tracker is a personal finance app that helps you record expenses and income, set budgets and savings goals, view summaries, and use optional reminders and security features.

These Terms apply to the iOS version of Money Tracker and any related services we provide through the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Money Tracker. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

By using the App, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. The service

Money Tracker lets you:

Track expenses, income, and categories

Set a monthly budget and a total/starting balance

View spending summaries and charts

Create monthly reminders

Lock the App with Face ID or your device passcode

Export reports (a Premium feature)

Subscribe to Money Tracker Pro for extra features

The App is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a bank, payment processor, accountant, tax adviser, or investment adviser.

4. Your account and data

Money Tracker does not require a separate login account.

Information you enter (transactions, budgets, profile details, reminders, and similar data) is stored on your device, unless a feature you use sends limited technical data to a third party (for example Apple for purchases, or Firebase for analytics and crash reporting).

You are responsible for:

The accuracy of information you enter

Keeping your device locked and secure

Backing up your device if you want to keep your records

Any data loss if you uninstall the App, reset your device, or do not back up

Uninstalling Money Tracker typically deletes local data on that device.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use Money Tracker only for lawful personal finance tracking. You must not:

Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the App’s source code, except where the law allows it

Use the App to commit fraud, hide illegal activity, or harm others

Interfere with the App, our systems, or other users

Misuse support, restore, or subscription features

Use the App in any way that violates Apple’s App Store rules or applicable law

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.

6. Free features and Premium

Some features are available at no charge. Other features are part of Money Tracker Pro (Premium), which currently may include:

Generate / export reports

App Lock

Monthly reminders

Advanced chart styles

An ad-free experience (including if advertisements are added in a later version)

We may change which features are free or Premium. If a feature you already paid for is removed or materially reduced, we will handle that in line with Apple’s rules and applicable law.

7. Subscriptions, trials, and payments

Plan

Money Tracker Pro is offered as an auto-renewing weekly subscription. Pricing is shown in the App and on the App Store in your local currency. The displayed price may vary by country and taxes.

Free trial

New subscribers may receive a 3-day free trial, where offered. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid weekly plan, and you will be charged.

Billing

Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store.

We do not collect your full payment card details.

Apple and RevenueCat process purchases and subscription status.

Auto-renewal

The subscription renews each week automatically unless you cancel. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.

How to cancel

You can cancel anytime in iOS:

Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Money Tracker

(or App Store → Account → Subscriptions)

Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription.

Restore

If you reinstall the App or change devices, use Restore in the App while signed in with the same Apple ID.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request a refund through Apple: https://reportaproblem.apple.com

We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

8. Advertisements and third-party services

The current version of Money Tracker does not show ads. Future updates may include advertisements. Premium is intended to remain ad-free.

The App may use or link to third-party services, including:

Apple (App Store, in-app purchases, device features)

RevenueCat (subscription status)

Google Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, and related services)

Ad networks in a later version, if ads are added

Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, ads, or services we do not control.

9. Intellectual property

Money Tracker, including its name, design, icons, text, and code, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.

10. No financial advice

Money Tracker is for personal organisation only. Charts, categories, budgets, and reports are based on data you enter. They are not financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice.

You are solely responsible for financial decisions you make. If you need professional advice, consult a qualified adviser.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available

Data you enter will never be lost

Calculations, summaries, or exports will be complete or error-free

The App will meet all of your financial or business needs

Some regions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those places, this section applies only to the extent allowed.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Lost profits, data, goodwill, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

Loss of transactions or budgets stored on your device

Errors in amounts, categories, or reports

Issues caused by Apple, RevenueCat, Firebase, ad partners, your device, or your internet connection

Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for Money Tracker Pro in the 3 months before the claim, or USD $10 if you have not paid, whichever is greater, unless a different limit is required by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may update Money Tracker, add or remove features (including Firebase, advertisements, or subscription options), and change these Terms.

If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, provide notice in the App or on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the new Terms, stop using the App and cancel any subscription in your Apple ID settings.

14. Termination

You may stop using Money Tracker at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any active subscription.

We may stop offering the App or restrict access if required by law, App Store rules, or if you seriously breach these Terms.

Sections that should reasonably survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and this section) will continue after termination.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where Apple’s App Store terms or the mandatory consumer laws of your country require otherwise.

If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the laws of the country where you live. Those rights are not affected.
